Alligator Gorge. Did not see any lizards. Wonderful walk from top car park to southern end. Step stair chase from main carpark. Great place for photos at midday or first/last thing. Beware of narrows in wet weather and storm. Water is cold Worth 6 stars

Alligator Gorge should not be missed by any visitors to the region. The walks are simple and forgiving (once you have made the descent down the stairs from the carpark to the Gorge floor). Take a half day out of your schedule to walk among towering rock faces amongst the beautiful vegetation. If you visit in June through to October you'll come across kangaroos, emus and many birds and flowers as you cross the flowing creeks.

This is an amazing place. The walks are great, awesome views, and there is even a drop toilet in the carpark
